The weeds along the driveway had gotten embarrassing, and this landscaper was the first person who looked at the whole yard instead of just the front patch. He reworked the overgrown bed by the porch and sent a short text before starting to confirm which plants I wanted saved. The thing I noticed most was how careful he was around the old hydrangea near the steps; it looked intentional again, not hacked back.
